30 and still looking good!! (or so my momma told me)
My mom and I saw a hilarious show at the Cabaret last night. Before we left for the show, she of course wanted to get a birthday photo of me. In this wonderful age of digital photography, I took a peek at the first picture that she took. "You can't see my shoes!" I told her. (And my red patent peep-toe heels made the outfit!!) So she took another one. I was making sure that she didn't miss my shoes in the shot below. ;-) Also, I am posed next to the flag because my birthday falls on Flag Day, June 14th. What I want to know however is where were the flags this year? Every year on my birthday there are flags lining Siskiyou Boulevard, but not this year. At least they weren't there when I drove by. I am hoping that it has more to do with the fact that June 14th happened to be on Sunday this year (maybe those city workers don't work on Sundays?), and not due to budget cuts or some dumb change in policy. My birthday wasn't quite the same without the flags. But at least my mom and dad had theirs out anyway.
So, another birthday has come and gone. I've survived turning 30, and it was only slightly more painful then I had imagined.

Those are FANTASTIC shoes!! And you look absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivy. Those are the heels that I was telling you about, like the ones that you wanted! I'm glad they're more comfortable now that I've worn them a few times. I was almost ready to pass them on to you ;-)
