Julietta finally convinced me to take the time to read the directions and help her use her hair color that you got her for Christmas. Thankfully, it is really not all that messy, and very easy to use. Washing it out on the other hand wasn't quite as simple. Melania's came out easily, but Julietta's red streaks turned to pink with two washings, and appears to have come completely out with the third. All in all, quite a hit.

With all of this gray weather that Winter and these recent windy storms have brought us, I've been forced to come up with indoor activities to entertain the girls (and myself). This last week I brought out our dry erase board and magnets, and this is the creation that my creative Julietta came up with. Melania's is on the right. Cute.

This is a picture of the "Friendship Bread" that we completed this past Thursday. This is one of those recipes where you have to squish the bag of batter and let the air out for about five days, add some ingredients, and make sure that the bag doesn't burst or fall onto the floor and explode open (as it did the last time that we attempted it). After squishing for another five days or so, finally it is time to add the remaining ingredients, divided out three portions to pass along to other friends (we gave away two and kept one for another batch for ourselves), and then bake the bread. I was pleasantly surprised how good it turned out! It was fabulous. Filled with sugar, and really more like cake then bread, but yummy none-the-less.

Melania had a little bit of a cold this past week, as you can tell by her rosy cheeks in the picture below, but as you can see, she was still her smiley self. Julietta and Melania were entertaining themselves piling on top of this extra crib mattress that I keep in the closet for making a bed by the t.v. on days when the kids are feeling kind of punky or just feeling like cuddling up.

Wednesday, when we dropped Emily off at her house after Good News Club, Serena gave us a bag of clothes that Emily had outgrown. You would have thought it was Christmas all over again with how excited both Julietta and I were. 5 pair of jeans that fit Julietta perfectly! Shirts, sweaters, and two new dresses. Julietta was excited to go to school on Friday, in her new clothes from Emily, and her new boots that I bought her (to replace her grungy old Ugs that she continued to wear). You can't see her new boots in this picture, but they look very much like something that I would wear. She looks very cute in them. My little fashionista.

"Take my picture, take my picture!" Melania said to me Friday morning while her sissy was at school. I took several, but have chosen only two to post this evening. She was being quite a ham. Such a silly girl.

Grandma Joy and Grandpa Bill made it home from their cruise last night, and Grandma Joy was anxious to see her girls. She picked them up late this morning to spend a few hours at her house. I had an hour or so to myself while they were gone and Cory was on a mountain bike ride. It was nice to take a few deep breaths and decompress from responsibility for a few moments. We met them for an early dinner at Red Robin then came back home to get the girls into bed.
I guess that's all for tonight.
Enjoy!
Love,
Tammie
